Description
Raw Western Australian | Blackbutt Honey — TA35+
Straight from the ancient forests of the southwest. Untouched. Unfiltered. Unapologetic.
Deep in the old-growth eucalypt forests of Western Australia — one of the last Varroa-free bee sanctuaries left on Earth — the Blackbutt (Yarri) tree flowers in rare, unpredictable bursts. Bees find it. We bottle what they make. And nothing else goes in.
What’s NOT in your jar:
✦ Antibiotic Free · Miticide Free · Oxalic Acid Free · Varroa Mite Free · Raw & Unfiltered · Small Batch
Darker than Manuka. Bolder than Manuka. And frankly, more honest.
Why TA35+ is different from “just honey”:
All honey has some natural hydrogen peroxide activity — an enzyme the bees add themselves. But most of it breaks down fast, especially once heated or processed. TA35+ means this jar has been lab-tested for a bioactive strength 35+ times that of a baseline reference honey — dramatically higher than what you’d find on a supermarket shelf. That strength comes from a dense concentration of natural enzymes, phenolic compounds, and antioxidants unique to the Blackbutt tree — the same broad family of compounds researchers point to in Manuka, minus the trademark and the price tag.
Manuka is graded by MGO and UMF. Blackbutt is graded by TA (Total Activity) — its own rigorous, independently lab-verified standard. Different tree, different chemistry, same principle: the higher the number, the more concentrated the bioactivity.
How people reach for it:
A spoonful straight, stirred into warm water, or worked into a raw honey mask — many people reach for high-TA honey specifically when they want that extra density: sore throats, topical skin concerns, or simply as a daily addition when the body’s asking for more support than a mild table honey can give. It’s also traditionally the honey people reach for around fungal and skin concerns, thanks to that same natural antimicrobial
Manuka is farmed at commercial scale, mono-floral by design. Blackbutt cannot be farmed — it blooms only when the ancient Eucalyptus forests decide to, on a cycle no one controls. Every jar is a product of a wild place. That’s not marketing. That’s ecology.
You know what you’re putting in your body. Make it count. 🍯🖤
